Sólstafir (ICE) – Ísafold 26.05.2017

Sólstafir (ICE) – Ísafold 26.05.2017
Season Of Mist

Another unusual review reached the life of Svbterranean Tenebris as 'Ísafold' is only one song that will appear on "Berdreyminn" in May 2017.I can promise that this is the first such criticism and also the last, because I will just write about whole materials in the future.

Land of fire and ice, frozen north, Iceland... thanks to some outstanding bands lately, Icelandic music culture was very much to the fore and for that matter, I am sure that the whole of Iceland, along with all of it.

Traditions are very important for us and it is well-known that a lot of tradition in Iceland was able to remain intact over the centuries. Sólstafir also associated to traditions, because unless their lyrics does not even know for sure we know that this band uses Icelandic language from their beginning as a means of expression in their music.

I must admit, that I met with Sólstafir with their „Til Valhallar” EP, that was released back in ’96 which contained raw Viking / Black music. Certainly not the joyful breed, so they could not take me to follow their careers.

Now 20 years late
r, Sólstafir still matter traditional, but they fully left their Viking/Black self. This is probably due to that the original line-up only Adalbjörn Tryggvason (vocals, guitar) are present in the band's life. We can also say that they totally learned to deal with their instruments and expressing emotions with them.

The granting of emotions can play an important role in the life of Sólstafir. They can not just play the songs, but also to make it into both their minds and their hearts. Trve Black Metal fans will not like
them, but all of those, who can look over the reality, and fully appreciate the brightly shining moon, the floating mist, the rippling lakes, sunset, the forest... and beyond.

Musically reminds me to Devil's Blood at the first evoking guitar/drum sound
s, yet they are an other band. In addition to the basic instruments, they are uses brasses, strings and piano that enrich their magickal work. It's a foggy, mysterious, psychedelic rock music from Iceland, which should receive attention.

I hope that 'Ísafold' isn't will be their best
track, so I recommend everyone to buy this album when it will be out.
